Water Saving Solutions for Defence

Eureka Water and Filtration have been awarded a contract to supply a water recycling system to allow recycling of wastewater.  This will reduce the demand on the limited bore water supply and minimize the operation’s environmental footprint. 

Our filtration system can also be tailored for the removal contaminants such as PFAS, organics and heavy metals.  It can also be used for the demineralisation of water for boiler feed water and other high purity water requirements.

One of most recent projects was the installation of a 10,000 lpd Reverse Osmosis system to turn highly scaling bore water into high quality water for irrigation of a home.  The system is running above design capacity with an output of more than 12,000 lpd of near rainwater quality.  The system is complete with storage tank and a pressure operated distribution pump to provide automatic water supply to the sprinklers and taps.  

The system could easily be operated using solar power during daylight hours.  The system could also be used to supply drinking water to a property where needed.

Eureka Water & Filtration has been awarded contracts to supply complete heat exchanger sets and replacement plate packs for a large refinery.  EWF can design and install new units as well as supplying a full range of replacement plates, gaskets and parts. We  offer plates in a range of materials such as SS316, SMO254, Hastelloy C276 and titanium.  

We also specialize in thermal modelling and energy studies to monitor heat exchanger performance. Our team has extensive experience in monitoring performance and can identify deficiencies in your process or HVAC system – deficiencies which could be costly in wasted energy and lost production.

Eureka Water and Filtration have been awarded distribution rights for the Australian made Rainman Desalination systems in Townsville and surrounding regions.  

Rainman systems turn sea water into high quality drinking water.  Originally designed for the leisure boating market, Rainman systems have are used extensively in Military, Rescue and Research applications.  They are extremely simple to operate and can be stowed easily on the boat or while camping and then operated within minutes to produce an endless supply of drinking water.

Eureka Water & Filtration were engaged by the Queensland Government recently to test several school safety showers for flow compliance.  Safety showers must comply with Australian Standard AS 4775-2007 to ensure flow, pressure and temperatures are adequate.  Several of the showers had questionable flow performance and EWF instigated non-invasive flow, pressure and temperature testing and then designed remedial repairs to ensure ongoing compliance.

Clients often have requirements for remote safety showers but they don’t have reticulated water available.  We can provide you with a complete self-contained system that is also temperature and biologically controlled to ensure it is safe to use even if operating in the harsh Australian sun.

Thiess Mining engaged Eureka Water & Filtration for the installation of a potable water reverse osmosis system.  Thiess needed reliable system to supply quality drinking water to their Operations areas and Crib Room.

Eureka Water installed a filtration system and an automatic reverse osmosis unit complete with filtration and UV sterilization.  The system was operational within a day and is producing safe, bottled water quality water from the local bore water feed.
