Heat exchanger rebuilds on a mine site: plates, gaskets and expert supervision

Two plate heat exchangers on a mine site needed a full refurbishment. For each one we sourced the replacement plates and gaskets, managed the freight all the way to site, and supervised the rebuild. Both have run without issues since.

Heat exchanger rebuild: replacement plate heat exchanger plates delivered to site in shipping crates

The challenge

Each heat exchanger needed new plates and gaskets to bring it back to working condition. The parts had to be the right match for the unit, arrive on a remote mine site in good condition, and be fitted correctly so each exchanger would seal and perform once it was back in service.

The heat exchanger rebuild

We sourced the replacement plates and gaskets to suit each unit and handled the full freight logistics to site, so the parts arrived complete and ready for the rebuild.

On site, our team provided expert supervision of the rebuild, overseeing the plate pack assembly so each exchanger went back together correctly and was ready to return to service.

The result

  • Replacement plates and gaskets sourced to suit each unit.
  • Parts delivered to the mine site, with freight managed end to end.
  • Two rebuilds completed under our supervision.
  • Both heat exchangers have operated with no issues since.
